1.   . . .Our History

The Desalyne Dancers were established in 1966 at Semaphore, 1988 at Aberfoyle Park and 2009 at Parafield Gardens.  The school has earned a reputation as being one of South Australia's most successful and progressive dance schools.

Students aged from 3 years to adult enjoy classes in tapping, jazz ballet, hip hop and musical theatre at St Bedes Hall (200 Military Rd, Semaphore), the Aberfoyle Park Baptist Church (cnr Manning Rd and Lyn St Aberfoyle Park), and the Holy Family Catholic School (71 Sheperdson Rd, Parafield Gardens).

Over the years, our dancers have performed on television, at weddings, balls, floorshows for corporate functions, concerts for charity, and in shopping malls.

In addition to performing at various venues throughout the year, our dancers have performed their annual end of year concert at the Festival Theatre for 13 consecutive years, and more recently at Her Majesty's Theatre.

Many past students are now teaching on their own or with other dance schools.

The school has produced many pantomimes, scenes from stage shows, and original songs composed for specific events.

Desalyne has always had a caring, friendly, family atmosphere where students are encouraged not frightened into doing their best.

We hope you find our Web site interesting and informative, and look forward to your future participation in our dance school.
