Principal : Des Wyatt

The principal of the Desalyne Dancers is Mr Des Wyatt CSTD, who is a fully qualified teacher with the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing.

Des began dancing when 3 years old and followed a family tradition of involvement with dance and the theatre.

Other family members, including mother Violet Wyatt and grandmother Effie McDonald were involved with the Tivoli Circuit, and sisters Desme, Vivienne and Norma have also been dancers.  Sister Desme received an O.A.M. (Order of Australia Medal) for Dance in Education.

Des has judged various Eisteddfords and choreographic competitions and arranges many visits to the school by interstate guest teachers and choreographers.  

He also arranges conferences, workshops and meetings with dance teachers across the state.
